Accessibility Specialist II for the AccessAbility Resource Center

Suzon Schroeder is an Accessibility Specialist in the AccessAbility Resource Center at the University of Texas at Dallas. She has worked in higher education for twelve years, including six years in disability services.

She has experience and passion advocating for students with learning, physical and psychiatric disabilities. 

Suzon holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Woman’s University and a master’s degree in Counseling from Amberton University. For eighteen years, Suzon has also been a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. She has served the community with counseling and crisis intervention services for individuals, students and families in foster homes, as well as school and hospital settings.

She enjoys family travels, concerts and theater, and watching her son perform in marching band at his college football games.

Suzon previously worked in the Office of Student AccessAbility in 2009 – 2010.
